Join us for a celebration of history and holiday traditions at the 53rd Annual Holiday House Tour of Lewes. Step inside eight beautifully decorated private homes, explore treasured historic buildings, and experience the charm of Lewes dressed for the holidays.

This popular event is one of Historic Lewes' largest annual fundraises, and proceeds from the tour benefit educational programs, preservation efforts, community events, and our ongoing mission to share and celebrate the history and heritage of Lewes.

Every Home Tells a Different Holiday Story

Explore a curated selection of 8 private homes in the heart of Lewes on this self-guided tour. At your own pace, you'll be able to enjoy some of the area's most treasured properties, celebrating both the architectural heritage and the magic of the season.

Our 2026 homes range from centuries-old to contemporary and new construction - with no two homes alike! Each participating homeowner graciously opens their home and shares a unique expression of the holiday season through decorations that reflect their own traditions, personality, and holiday spirit. As you tour, you'll experience everything from elegantly understated displays to whimsical seasonal collections and festive décor. Whether classic, coastal, contemporary, or timelessly traditional, each home offers its own special interpretation of the holidays.

Each Holiday House Tour ticket includes:

One-time admission to all private homes on tour
A detailed keepsake tour guidebook with descriptions of each property on the tour
Admission to the Holiday Village & Market at the Historic Lewes Town Campus at 110 Shipcarpenter Street - shop local artisans & businesses, enjoy interpreters, carolers, music and more.

Tickets can be purchased online, for $50, through December 4, or at the Historic Lewes office. Children ages 12 and younger are admitted free with a paying adult. Please retain a copy of your online ticket receipt to pick up your Tour Holiday House Guidebook. The Holiday House Tour Guidebook is your ticket & entry into each home, please be sure you do not lose this and show this to the docent at each home entrance.

Tickets may be picked up before the event, starting on November 23, 2026 at LHS’s main campus between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. (Monday through Friday). Ticket pick-up is also available on the day of the event at the Historic Lewes main campus, located at 110 Shipcarpenter Street, Lewes, DE 19958, starting at 8:00 a.m. The house tour doors open at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2026. The last visitor will be admitted at 3:30 p.m.
